Health Benefits and Insurance:
MassHealth www.mass.gov/masshealth  
MassHealth is health benefits for people with low incomes.  People with disabilities have higher income allowances, but income must still be low.  MA residents with disabilities may also buy into CommonHealth.  Both MassHealth and CommonHealth provide PCA benefits and Durable Medical Equipment support, as well as some dental and vision benefits, for qualifying people with disabilities.  Because of the complexity, people with disabilities who do not have health insurance should work with an Independent Living or SHINE counselor. 

SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) counselors are available by appointment in local towns by calling (800) 243-4636.

Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center has Health Insurance Enrollment Programs at several locations including Worcester, Marlboro, Framingham, Milford and Hudson. Call Alvaro Marques at (508) 595-0726 for an appointment.
